Aces vs aces vs two others $10/$20 all-in preflop- get away from it?
I put 400 into Party last night, spun up to $2650 on $2/$4, tilted off $600, then moved up to $10/$20 and lost this monster. Biggest hand I've been in for a long time. My username there is vanHogspeuw.
Any way of getting away from this hand? ***** Hand History for Game 5802935848 ***** 0/0 Omaha Game Table (PL) - Sat Mar 24 16:03:54 EDT 2007 Table Table 126466 (Real Money) -- Seat 1 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 1: blyger99 ( $1363) Seat 2: asdfgh73 ( $760.50) Seat 3: Micu123 ( $1150) Seat 4: waken ( $1773.84) Seat 5: A55HO1E ( $1381.48) Seat 6: Prince19861 ( $1670) Seat 7: vanHogspeuw ( $1663.88) Seat 8: cashmerejak ( $3858.20) Seat 9: Byrrrr ( $2473) Seat 10: lacala1 ( $400) asdfgh73 posts small blind (10) Micu123 posts big blind (20) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to vanHogspeuw [ Kc, As, 9h, Ah ] waken folds. Thats a joke. I would never play online for that much. Guy calling that bet with that little rundown style hand. That is a joke!!!!!!!! you played it right if I read this post right. You had to reraise to shut everyone out. They should have not called.

Re: Aces vs aces vs two others $10/$20 all-in preflop- get away from it?
Eh, why?
With hindsight, I could have folded and taken the $240 hit when the other guy with aces has put in the third raise. I guess I was hoping everyone else would fold, and my aces would beat his aces. Oh for the flush on the river! That guy going in preflop with 2446 probably saw Brad Booth do the same thing on $200/$400 for a $250k pot a few months back. But he has to figure aces are out which cuts his straight outs, so he's basically playing for the two fours. [ QUOTE ] This hand makes me feel all warm inside [/ QUOTE ] |

AK and Ahxh adds enough % to your hand I'd be committed preflop. ALso, the apparent other pair of aces has a significantly large stack.

Re: Aces vs aces vs two others $10/$20 all-in preflop- get away from it?
Yeah, I flopped a gutshot too. The main risk in these situations is that with four people in the hand, someone with a rundown hand will spike two pair. I much prefer it against one opponent. Seriously though, wtf?:
blyger99 [ 4c 4s 6s 3h ] calls (1123) I guess if you have a $50k+ roll, you'll gamble like this. |

Re: Aces vs aces vs two others $10/$20 all-in preflop- get away from i
Yeah and he got almost 4/1 on his money.
I don't really understand why he's such a favourite pre-flop, though. Of the four players in the hand he's the only one who could play for a low straight, but some of these outs are gone since we have the aces. He has two outs to hit a set which of course we don't have, but he doesn't have any flush outs. So why is he such a favourite? [ QUOTE ] 4c4s6s3h 31.03% gamble like what? [/ QUOTE ] |
