Was an idiot with pokerstars check, please help

Not sure if this is the right forum, but 2 months ago i had a check for 500.00 sent to me from stars. Being a lazy idiot, i waited till just now to try to cash it... its lost of course. I emailed stars support this morning telling them my problem, havent heard back from them. Anyone know anything about a situation like this?

The first thing to do is call or email Pokerstars. If the check has not been cashed, I would think they would be willing to put a stop payment order on the original check and issue another one. They will probably pass on to you the cost of the stop payment order, probably with some mark-up to cover their costs. I would guess that this will be something like 25-50 bucks. If somebody has found and cashed the lost check, you are probably SOL.

OK, the check is lost somewhere in the abyss of my room, if youve seen my room, you would understand. So this is good news. Thanks for your help.

Be patient. Support folks probably need to go through two or three bookkeeping folks to see what can be done. That'll add several hours if not a day or two to the process.

I must admit .. I see some irony in the fact you waited months before even attempting to cash the check and now you are getting impatient because they have not responded in the last twelve hours.
