Default Hiring a fashion consultant?

This probably seems lame, but this is a legit question.

I have no style, no taste in style, etc. If it were up to my, id wear my ripped up jeans, white tshirt and my boston redsox hat all the time. Obviously that type of attire is not very stylish.

Ill be heading back to school in the fall (starting over completely ftw), and want to replace my current 3+yr old wardrobe with all new clothes.

Does anyone know anything about hiring a fashion consultant? Is anyone here well educated in fashion? I think certain people look good in certain things, and others dont look good in the same outfit. I need to find things that go well with my look/body type.

If anyone here is good at fashion hit me up or something.

lol, thanks

I had never heard of anything like this but a girl I know told me a couple weeks ago that she was "going to start a fashion consulting company." I had no idea wtf that meant and she basically explained doing what you're talking about. In my head I was thinking "who the eff would ever pay for that?" but I told her it was a cool idea and wished her good luck. I guess people do actually pay for that. Weird.

Do you have any female friend(s) who have decent to good style? Explain to them that you are looking to create a new look that matches your identity or what your newer/updated identity should reflect.

If you have plenty of monies then I dno, a professional would be pretty sweet I'd imagine but it seems unnecessary.

soon-

Don't even try to do this until you get to the school. being fashionable is too general of a statement and it sounds like you want to "fit in" with the fasion. I think that fashions change drastically from school type to school type so be sure you know what other people there are wearing.

Yugo,

sounds relatively accurate.

OP,

If you go to any nice department store (Neiman Marcus, Bloomie's), they have consultants that are amazing; they'll call you when new stuff comes in that woudl look good on you, they dress professional businessmen, etc.

Remember when Jessica Simpson and Britney started going down hill? They dropped their stylists
