Re: Reasonable Religions
Easily Buddhism or similar, but that doesn't have supernatural beliefs so it's not really a religion. The most reasonable actual religion would be Tibetan Buddhism, which preaches a soul, levels of spiritual awareness, and rebirth. If there was an afterlife/spiritual dimension, Tibetan Buddhism would be the closest match.

Re: Reasonable Religions
If you are flexible enough to define it as a religion, then secular humanism. If not, pastafarianism or the Church of the sub-Genius.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't see why a spiritual aspect to life need be considered supernatural if it doesn't break the laws of physics. It might just be a part of nature/reality for which common laws of physics are not relevant. PairTheBoard |

Re: Reasonable Religions
Most people here are going to say something about Buddhism or Zen, although I think atheism, since it's been called a "religion" by many, is the most reasonable set of beliefs about the supernatural.

Pastafarianism has The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and the Church of the Sub-Genius has the Book of the SubGenius. Shame on you for trying to equate a past forum topic with real religions. |

[/ QUOTE ] Perhaps I'm too strict in my definition of a-theism. I usually confine it to a non-belief in god(s) rather than the supernatural in total. It's possible, even if not usual, to be an atheist for reasons that don't exclude other strange goings on. Taking that view, atheism doesn't have a set of beliefs. luckyme |
