Default selling hand histories.

Do you think a website like Stars or FT would ever consider selling hand history's? Can you imagine all the data that they have in there DB's? I bet with the current technology they could mine it, get the stats and create bots that would dominate the field. If not them some fancy programmer could hack and do likewise. Part of what made me think of this is here.

I tried this - I set up a website (it's still there at hand-histories.com but closed down), and mined Stars, Full Tilt, Party and a couple of others using data mining software and offering up the hand histories I obtained.

I got a little bit of interest but nothing close to a level that would make it worthwhile all the time and effort it took to run the site. If you want to try it good luck to you .

It is against the TOC of the main sites to do so.

That doesn't technically matter to the dataminer, if they aren't playing on the site.

As long as the end-user doesn't get caught (which is pretty easy to avoid) it shouln't be a problem.

Although there is an argumant that you should adhere to the T&C's of a site.

Does anyone (sites included) still even cares what is or is not against site's TOC.

I think they mostly care for the money....
