Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
Both players are basically unknowns. I've been at table 2 rounds, nothing out of ordinary, no PT data.
I've been quiet. I hold AKo on the CO, villain is SB. Blinds 30/60 My stack: 2800 PFR's stack: 2700 SB's stack: 4600 Preflop: Folds to MP2, MP2 raises to 180, folds to me on CO, i call, button folds, SB calls, BB folds. Flop: 8 9 T rainbow (pot 600) SB checks, MP2 checks, hero checks Turn: K SB insta pots 600, MP2 folds, hero? My play? |

Did you see how the SB picked up 4600? I hate this spot vs. an unknown on this board.

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
eeewww...
I guess your hoping for KQ or KJ ? I would think that villain would have bet the flop with a set, with the board. I would assume that you c-bet often enough that villain may have been looking to check raise, so a set is not out of his range with this bet either. I have a hard time buying QJ here with a pot bet, on a card that would help at least 1 of the original callers. I really don't think that a 1 pair hand is ahead here often enough to make this call it is still hard to make this lay down in the heat of moment. I guess it is read dependent if villian would make this bet with KQ KJ. |

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
I think 2 prs, sets (that he missed the CR on the flop) and a few straight draws are all in his range, maybe 67, rarely air. It feels weak, but I think I lay this down; the only card you feel good about is an "A" on the river...

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
Call and see a river.
I will 3-bet preflop here a lot. MEJG2 a King is a good river card as well and a lot or river cards like a T,7,J,Q can freeze your opponent giving you a free showdown and if he bets you probably aren't good. |

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
Does the K complete the rainbow or what? This is a good spot for sb to be semi-bluffing a jack or a flush draw he just picked up a lot of the time.
Does FT have a bet pot button? Is it used frequently? By this guy? It'd be a pretty bad bet size with a set/str8 or whatever monster type hand he's trying to represent imo so unless it's just standard for some to mash the pot button, I'd have trouble putting him on a made monster. All that being said, I think calling > folding > raising. I'm probably not planning on folding to river bets on blanks but could easily end up folding depending on "things"...... |

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
This could be KJ or KQ, but there are so many other hands that beat you. Like someone else said, I doubt this bet was made with air and it's unlikely it's a straight.
You've invested very little into a dangerous board, so IMO it's an easy fold. You could call and hope it's checked to you on the river then jam or check behind. |

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
Tilt does have the "pot" button, good call there... So I guess the pot bet is probably weaker then a pot bet on Stars.
Pudge - do you feel good about a K? I would think a lot of his range with this bet includes K8, K9, K10. A pot sized bet from an unknown in a 150 buy-in seems pretty strong on this board. I think we are only beating KQ, KJ, and a draw. He could have AK here too. I am assuming FT does not have the satellites to the 150 like stars does, if there are a lot of satellite players, it changes things a bit. I don't think a call is bad, but you’re hoping to freeze him, you really can't call much on the river without improving. |

Re: Tilt 150 post flop AK spot
When you raise preflop and check this flop, AK is exactly the hand they will want to put you on. When they then pot into you on what should be a very scary card for them, I'd say you can safely fold TPTK on a very coordinated board.
