Default TPTK gets 3bet on flop

BB is 25/8/1.5, no reads; no data about UTG.

The main question: do you think I can find a bet on turn or river, or should I just slowly make it to the showdown?

Ultimate Bet 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, K.
UTG raises, MP calls, 1 fold, Button 3-bets, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG caps, MP calls, Button calls, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (20 SB) K, 6, 4 (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets, MP folds, Button calls, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, UTG calls, Button folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (15 BB) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

River: (18 BB) 7 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 20 BB

Cap pre-flop.

Lead the flop - the pot is huge and c/r isnt going to make anyone fold.

BBs line is weird. The cold call pf and then the c/3-bet on the flop.

I would prob just c/c down.

Hmmm...I'm really wondering about cold calling three bets preflop with AKo, in the SB. I know SSHE says the only offsuit hand you should consider calling a raise with is AKo unless you see people raising light, but I don't think it mentions what to do with AKo when it's three bets to you. I realize you're in the SB so you're getting a bit of a discount. Out of the BB I'd say cap it. Maybe someone with Poker Stove could figure this out.

Anyway, with a preflop raise and a preflop reraise in front of me, I would lean towards checking and calling the flop, turn and river as played. I figure there's a good chance one of the villains has AA or KK here.

cap flop.

yeah, BB's line is weird. some sort of check-doubleraise wtf?

Your TPTK is good and i'd normally say cap the flop with it, but i'm not convinced here. in a 3way pot after that PF action?

BB's obviously isn't afraid of you OR UTG and that should get you thinking. I'm guessing the *worst* holding he has is AK.

I'd check/fold the turn. Maybe that's too weak, but I think it's too easy to fall in love with TPTK here. You're up against 2 guys who obviously aren't afraid of you (or your represented TPTK) and are willing to put 3 bets into the pot. That plus the PF action puts them on a tight range of hands, many of which beat you. Walk away.

classic case of 'aggressive until proven cautious'. you were just shown clearly that your hand is probably not the best.

Do you have more on BB than just the stats? What are your reads on button?

I fold or cap preflop, depending on my read on button.

BB's line on the flop is pretty strong. Would he call a 3-bet with 66 preflop? Would he (only) call with KK? AK is not unlikely here.

UTG is another concern. He capped preflop and then bet/call-3 on the flop, indicating that he likes his hand. Looks a bit like AA, AK, or a dumbly played QQ.

Looks a bit like you're either on a 3-way split or splitting with BB's AK and losing to UTG's AA or losing to BB's set of whatever.

By the turn the pot is really big, so I don't think I could lay this down for one bet on either street.

I must say, button's flop play rocks.

hi campi... I cap preflop... cold-calling is usually frowned upon around here... especially if it's 3 to you. If you had capped, I would have come betting on this flop. Not exactly sure what BB is pulling in this hand though... so many villains it's hard to put anybody on a range. I would also go into call-down mode as this pot is huge. Folding becomes out of the question.

Would you fold when the turn action goes Hero checks, BB bets, UTG raises?

I wonder where hero exactly represented TPTK. I wonder if the villains are capable of thinking about other players hand ranges.

Right. Our hand is probably not the best. But we're getting 19:2 for a calldown on the turn.

I wouldn't fold because putting UTG on 6x doesn't make ANY sense at all.
