Default High school / College dates

Im in Australia atm in my final year of high school and considering going to college in the US.

SATs are the final exam in high school yeah? what dates are these?

When does the high school year finish each year and the college year start?

What should i be looking at in terms of schools/classes etc, i'd be interested in doing something business oriented like banking and finance or something like that

Any help on the topic would be pretty helpful and if anyone has experience in the matter please share

btw. im most interested in the college lifestyle over anything else, college/university in australia is good but nobody lives on campus or anything like that so its a different experience

www.collegeboard.com is the SATs and that are about every month from september to June. The ACT is also taken a lot, but idk what is looked at for international students. Schools usually accept either.

The high school year goes from end of august to early June, at least by me and the college year depends but its about the same.

Are you able to explain to me exactly how the SAT's are marked and conducted?
Are you marked depending on how well you do compared to the rest of the kids doing it?
Where am i able to find sample SAT papers?

Are there any guidance counselors who have helped other students apply internationally for US schools? They would would probably be your best resource at this point.
