Default $50NL AJ with 2 Pair on scary board facing river push

History

Basically I've been owning/running over villian last 2 orbits 3bet him twice, raised his limps and he's called and folded to my cbet. So I could tell he was itching to play back/getting sick of it etc. Then this hand

Does anyone go for pot control on the turn or play for stacks considering the scenario? I felt there was so many draws/cards that scare off villian on river that i had to bet here. BTW my turn bet is WAYYY too small I know .

River check good? River is call yes?

Call here, he could easily have a small two pair or just be on the bluff. You're getting 2:1, which is about right for this kind of play, if he made his flush so be it, live, learn, and make bigger turn bets.

Why would you even consider slowing down on the turn? I would bet harder on all streets and shove river myself. As played, easy call with your history. If he has it then he has it.

I would push the turn with your current image and the history of the last few orbits. If you really want to call a shove on the river when a club appeares, you better shove the turn yourself.

If you are planning on shoving but you know villain could make a play at you, check-calling is fine imho.
