First time @ 10-20 live help me with this hand
I've never played higher than 5-10 NL, but I was in Vegas and wanted to give the 10-20NL at Bellagio a shot. When I sat down, there was one player with >30k, but everyone else was 1-5k. I sat down with 2k. About 30-40 minutes in, I've played a few hands. Won 3 hands with a pf raise, and folded the others by the turn. Haven't gotten to showdown yet. The pf raises have been 60-120.
I pick up TT UTG and make it $100 to go, and have a stack of ~1800-1900. Only the blinds call. Flop is T 6 3 with 2 diamonds. Checked to me, I bet ~$240 or so. Admittedly I was nervous, and even though I had top set, I would be happy to win the hand and move one, and hopefully calm the nerves. One of the blinds called. He had me slightly covered. $740 in the pot. Turn is Qd. He checks. I bet $500. He thinks for a long time, and pushes. Advice on all streets, but in particular the turn action (my bet and reaction to his c/r all in) greatly appreciated. --Headhunter |

Hmm I dont know if I bet for sure, but if I do, I definitely call an all-in. You got outs even if you guess wrong!

Re: First time @ 10-20 live help me with this hand
I think your preflop raise was a bit excessive, unless 5Xbb is your standard. Someone could infer that you have a strong hand, but not one you wanted a lot of action on, which is exactly what you have. My utg standard raise in live play is 3.5Xbb, whether I have aces or tens. You flop bet is good. On the turn, I know it sucks if they have, say, a single dimond and you have to give a free card on the turn, but I think I check when the diamond hits, and I call most rivers unless the bet is more than around pot size.

op, this is rarely a bluff.
flytrap, 80-120 pre-flop is standard in that game. |

Anderson,
would you have checked behind on the turn, or just folded to the push? Thanks for the advice. Do you play this game often? --Headhunter |

I'd check behind on this turn unless I am happy to call the push. Once I bet, I'm definitely insta-calling the push.

Re: First time @ 10-20 live help me with this hand
with scared/shottaking money, it seems like check turn, call river UI is better. Induce a bluff/vbet with worse hand, lose least to flush. Probably not much difference in ev, and much lower variance.

Re: First time @ 10-20 live help me with this hand
check turn behind he 100% has a flush here.. even though the 10-20 game is really lose right now u have to check. And also if ur happy to take a 200$ pot down with nutset.. plz play lower stakes.
