Coworker just cracked open a brew in my cubicle

He's a personal friend of mine and he strolled in today at about 3pm and cracked open a Coors in his office and started swigging it. Keep in mind this is a professional consultation company in a typical formal office building setting.

Also we worked late last night and he busted into our bosses Crown Royal after hours. I know he's an alcoholic, and so does he, but I can't convince him to go to AA meetings.

He's an exceptional employee and a great guy who is really smart but I'd hate to see him get canned for swigging brew at work. I laughed when I saw it but I told him to put that sh*t away before he gets in trouble.

Spanway Vin and I had a co-worker who took to drinking Sparks (alcoholic energy drink) at his desk. He'd pour it into a pint class and it just looked like soda or something.

He eventually quit for what was his dream job.

Then that job fired him.

I mean thats pretty stupid, there are plenty of ways to drink a beer at work without anyone being the wiser, and since he's a smart guy im sure he could think of them. So I can only conclude he wants to punish himself

we party like rock stars downstairs every friday at 4pm. just about anything you want from beer to champange, but no hard liquor that i've ever seen...

my old company does the every friday drinking thing...people even brought in their homemade flavored vodka and whatnot...

current company does it about one friday a month, but just beer...
