*** Official Arbitrage Posting Thread : February 2007 ***
going to monthly now, we'll see if this fills up too much I'll break it apart.
This was also the January thread, just edited the title... edit: just now realized I had 2006 instead of 2007 |

is this an arbitrage opportunity?
i am new here, but love it.
for the NFL this weekend, my site has a line for saturday AFC minus 5 1/2 ( this is for KC/Indy and Dallas/Seattle game only) But if i take the AFC over on the same site it is 50 1/2 The NFC over is 46 1/2 Wouldnt that say the AFC should be minus 4? Is there an arbitrage opportunity here? |

Re: is this an arbitrage opportunity?
No, since both AFC/NFC could hit the over or under. For example, NFC 60, AFC 59.

FYI Bodog has the same prop bet priced at -230. It's at +260 on Pinny now although it won't last long.

Re: *** Official Arbitrage Posting Thread : January 2006 ***
Assuming no bonus, what ROI do you guys typically need to potentially realize before considering an arb, both quick turnaround and long term?
Also, if fav is -3 (+110) at book A and you can buy down the dog to +2.5 @ +100 (or +2 @ +102), so you have positive odds on both sides and all points covered, do you arb? Would you take this bet if you could get paid within the day? |

Re: *** Official Arbitrage Posting Thread : January 2006 ***
You gotta consider what you would be doing with the money (opportunity cost and time value of money).
I personally look for >.25% per day long term and depending on when the event is .1% for a couple hours to more depending on the day. |
