Re: $16 KK second hand
This donkbet is almost never a hand. I like your raise on the flop. But pls, push this turn. If he really made 2pair, you still have outs. But you`re so far ahead most of the time.
The river is a simple blocker bet from him. I don`t know if bluff-shoving the river is such a good idea, therefore i prolly call most of the time. I really think you messed it up on the turn by not shoving. Btw...make it 100 PF. Looks like hair splitting, but 80 after a limper invites to many callers. |

Re: $16 KK second hand
This is not the first hand where you guys say shove the turn.
This is something I almost never do and really should take this habit. Villain had a random QT and I hate myself. |

Re: $16 KK second hand
nitpicky advice: I'd make it 100 preflop.
substantive advice: This type of board is very likely to have helped a limp/caller in a low buyin SNG - it's very draw heavy, so I would make a pot-sized raise on the flop here. Here's how you add that up quickly (and someone correct me if I'm wrong here because I suck at this): 190 in pot + 100 from his bet = 290 pot You call his 100 = 390 pot... and raise the size of the pot (390) = 490 bet total. I'd probably make it 500 because I like round numbers. |

Re: $16 KK second hand
Thanks for advice.
So : pot size raise = initial pot + 3 X villain raise I'll stick to that. |

Re: $16 KK second hand
Rex, yeah good rule of thumb for PSB.
Remember you don't *always* have to raise pot-size though, like on a board of 27J rainbow, there aren't really any draws, so you can get away with raising smaller if you have a monster, just calling, etc. You should always just try to make whatever size bet or raise that does the most for attaining the correct balance between hand protection and value. Sometimes one will matter more than the other. Sometimes they'll matter about the same. Sometimes other factors like pot control and stack protection will matter the most and you shouldn't bet or raise at all. It's all an art. |
