I only have about 50 hands with this guy but he doesn't seem real aggressive.

That river min-bet follwed by a reraise means you're beat but I can't fold the third nuts here either.

I got check-raised twice on this hand by a non-agressive player.
The first check-raise caused me to slow down. But when he checked to me on the river I figured I was good. But then he raised again. He had A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for the straight/nut flush draw. I got to thinking that I should have pushed the turn, but the check-raise from a passive player made me slow down. Thought? |

Gotta love when the slow-play back fires! I typically smooth call a luring bet like that river bet on the end. Who wants to get ck-raised again on the river which would typically mean that you are badly beaten? I guess his river ck-raise was just a last ditch effort to cover his rear after screwing up on the flop. He did have the Ad in his hand so he knew that you weren't holding the nuts and were therefore bluffable. Congrats on the nice pot! |

Well played. Don't push turn, as tempting as it is. You're too deep for that. I like river play too. I seriously doubt he'd check the nuts on the river, but he could.. and if you're beat by Qxdd, so be it. You have to raise river there or you're losing value, and you have to call, as you found out. nh.

He is short enough that i would consider a river push, only because his line is retardedly stupid for a nf and he will call with everything. Against a better player, i would certainly just call the river.

I would have rr the turn to ~$30 and called a push.
As played the river raise and call are good....no need to push at that point. Villian played it weird. |
