Todd Collins (from Michigan), aside from his first three years, one of which he started most games, has thrown all of 15 passes in his last 9 seasons. That probably works out to a couple hundred thousand per pass attempt. Nice.
(Yes, I know that you in fact still put in lots of hours in practice. The point is, you get damn good money without ever putting your body/health at risk. I understand that isn't why people play the game, and with that attitude you probably won't make it that far, but to lazy slobs like us these people are like gods.) Edit: Found his salary from 2000-2004. Around 4.7 million for those five seasons. Quite a haul. |
