Default $16 A8 push over limpers with 12 BB

Hi,

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t150 (9 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t1335)
UTG+1 (t1398)
MP1 (t1295)
MP2 (t1170)
MP3 (t1065)
CO (t1657)
Hero (t1865)
SB (t1765)
BB (t1950)

Preflop: Hero is in Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">UTG folds</font>, <font color="gray">UTG+1 folds</font>, <font color="gray">MP1 folds</font>, <font color="gray">MP2 folds</font>, <font color="gray">MP3 folds</font>, CO calls t150, <font color="red">Hero raises to t1865 (All-in)</font>

CO was limping quite a lot.
It seems that I decided that those t375 would be nice to my stack. Thoughts ?

the problem with him limping a lot is that this might indicate he s a donk. did he fold to raises before or generally call? this looks like a pretty marginal spot to do this, maybe reraise to 450 and bet half pot on missed flops.

Against a normal villian who has 35/20 type stats this is good.

However these 40/0 villians scare me as they will limp hands they should raise with and then you make their mistake correct by handing over your stack.

If I remember well, he was more of the 35/15 type.

Then I think its marginal but good. Probably +0.1-0.3% EV.

i would find the play correct from the blinds but there, there are still 2 players to act after your shove.

taken that into consideration i think i would prefer a raise to 450. does this play seemes correct to you ?

Check.

With 10bb or less and a strong read I like a push.

A raise I fear would be quite bad. This is more a push/fold situation. I doubt I would ever call here as well.
