Have only been at the table for a few orbits, but this hand happened almost immediately. Villain is 19/16/3.4 and seems solid.

I prefer calling, he'll probably check all rivers with stuff we beat, and we can stack an ace with ease if the fd comes in thanks to commitment.

Okay. Thanks for the responses. He did fold, but he probably didn't have an ace then. I thought that with history, he could find a fold with an ace. Apparently, the stack sizes weren't deep enough for this to work most of the time.

but at least you have outs and can get a hand he beats kk qq jj to fold. i like your play given the previous action. 1 exception: you know hes a fish who will NEVER fold top pair. then i just call
