Putting subtitles on a Divx file (I have the subtitle file)

I have the subtitle file and need to get it into the movie. Anyone know how to do this with a divx .avi?

hmm my dvd player u can just select the subtitle file.. and it lets you play it...

is this on ur comp with a plyer like vlc?
