PLO8 10/25 A3KQds with K-high flush draw, 2nd nut low on turn
Villain is fond of PFR and has pushed me off at least one prior flop with aggro play. What's a reasonable line for this hand?

This is an autofold in a higher limit game. Here, I think it's about your read and how much you like to gamble.
It depends on what kinds of hands villian has been showing after those PFRs. Who is the villian? |

Re: PLO8 10/25 A3KQds with K-high flush draw, 2nd nut low on turn
Villain was TONYNMELI, and I hadn't seen V. show a single hand in the session, so I couldn't gauge how much was bluster and how much was real hands. Range of raising hands seemed to exclude trips and quads....
I did fold the turn. Peeling a card on the flop was a reasonable play, if I was only looking for a heart or a deuce to continue on? |

Off the top of my head, I'd push the flop.
Edit -- meaning that I'd lead out for the pot. |

Change that 7 to a Q or K and I'd say cr him, as played I probably fold. Problem is you don't have any high at all, with 1 to come and you have no clue where he is at in the hand. Call him down sometime when you have a marginal 2 way hand and find out what he raises.

This is how people get stacked.
Don't feel like you need to play back at him just because he pushed you off one good hand earlier. For all you know he could have had you beat. If he's a huge LAG then maybe, but it doesnt sound like you can remotely make that distinction yet. |

Re: PLO8 10/25 A3KQds with K-high flush draw, 2nd nut low on turn
Indeed -- this IS how people get stacked, 2nd low and 2nd high DRAW. If you know nothing about villain yet, fold. If his PFRs are big pairs and such and not necessarily A2s, then I think you play for your low -- but it's a lot of risk for a minimal chance to scoop: you will only scoop if you catch your flush AND villian happens to not be on the nut flush.
Caveat: aggressive players make lots of jake with PFRs that later allow them to represent A2. |
