Default $3.40 TT vs maniac w/flopped set

My friend who is a regular in STTF was watching me play this hand. He winced when he saw the way I played this hand, and laughed saying "Post and see what the forum would say." Should I have re-raised PF? What about post flop?

I have a read on villain. He has limped/min-raised 50-60% of the hands up to now. I stacked him slow playing nut flush w/ him betting all way down with middle pair. I decide since board is not likely to have hit him to take a similar approach, since he is overaggressive in every hand he is OOP.

Would you play this similar against a horrible villain you have played previously?

I'd shove preflop. I don't like calling off >10% of my stack.

Flop: It's not terrible in a heads-up pot to slow play. But, I think this board is just too coordinated. I'd re-raise. If not here, definitely on the turn.

I'd shove preflop. Calling is bad because you have too many players behind you who can might hop into the pot. Plus, there are a ton worse flops for you then the one you got......if the flop comes A J 7, it'd be more interesting what you would have done.

As played, I'd raise the flop. There are just way too many draws to be slowplaying. So yes....I agree with your friend. I would be wincing too.

I would have raised pre-flop.
Also would have raised post-flop.
I think at this point tour trips are good...who knows later on.

This was exactly my reasoning.

My friend trys to outplay his opponents postflop late in these SNGS (which is what I used to do, before I got enlightened). It would be great if we could correctly play these donks postflop. However we don't have enough chips to do so.

With that read, I would push this PF. We are way ahead of the villains ranges, and we will have to fold our middle pair on a lot of flops.

I'd get it all in at least on the turn, if not the flop, or preflop.
