Raise (how much?) or flat call?
Game is very loose, a lot of bad players and calling stations.
Hero has been playing very loose, seeing about 50% of flops. Villain only tight player at the table, having shown down the nut straight against Hero a few hands earlier. (Hero had top two). Villain has $1,200 Hero covers. Hand: Hero is dealt A5o. M.P calls $5 Hero raises to $20 from CO. Villain flat calls from SB. Limper folds. 2 to the flop. $50 in pot. Flop: K53 two hearts. Villain checks. Hero pots for $50 Villain hesitates, and calls. Pot: $150 Turn: Js Villain checks fairly quickly. Hero checks behind. ($150) River: 5c Villain quickly bets $100. Hero's action? Q: Do you raise here, and if so, how much? In the actual hand, hero raised to $360. Villain thought for a long time, and then reraised to $990. Hero? |

Re: Raise (how much?) or flat call?
I would have raised too and given your villain's subsequently action, made a reluctant call. I think you're ahead most of the time here but against said villain...I think the only hand you can worry about is a set of 3s...or a strangely played set of Js.
tough one...yeah, probably a reluctant call. outcome? |
