Re: my coworkers are fish
i have little experience with marketing, but one of the top dogs mentioned that we need to market ourselves better. so, using poker concepts and the quant finance and marketing stuff ive been learning in my mba program, i prepare an analysis that is full of numbers and good stuff.
so, at the meeting, what does everyone discuss? bumper stickers. |

Re: my coworkers are fish
Yeah you can't confuse the American worker with complex stuff like numbers and analysis. A tshirt or button is much more effective.
My company makes defibrillators, we had one called Epic a few years ago. When we came out with the new model, our marketing department had a "name the new product" contest. What won? Epic II. Brilliant. |

Re: my coworkers are fish
people never listen to any +EV ideas from me or my group because we're the "auditors", so by definition, know nothing about the Company's business and are just out to get people fired and in trouble to make ourselves look good.
[censored] prez of our Company stood up at the quarterly meeting and apoligized to the whole Company for the fact we have to comply with corporate governance regs and sorry you've had to work so much with internal audit. sweeeeeeee-heeeet!! |

Re: my coworkers are fish
i'm assuming you meant 'X' to be whatever...
i originally took it as ecstasy, which gives the statement of it being +ev for the company a whole new meaning...imagine working with a group of people that you've eaten rolls with... life at the office would be a lot less tense... |
