AA against a TA and a flushed board
Villian is of the TA-A sorts. I put him on a flush draw on the flop as that's exactly how I would have handled a flush draw if I were him. Was it correct to trust my instincts and fold, or should I have re-raised, and folded to a cap?

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
EDIT: Actually, I'd probably lead the turn, and call down if I get raised. Why is he iso-raising with a flush draw on the flop? Makes no sense.

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
Why 3 bet the turn if you're not going to lead or c/c the river?

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
The only thing worse than the fold is the turn check. Yuck. Bet/call, yo!

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
Maybe I'm a showdown muppet but I'm seeing the river here. Bet/call the turn, check/call the river. (disclaimer: I suck).

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
this will be a pocket pair a ton.
since the Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is now out of his possible hand range, what beats you? AK/AJ/AT/KJ[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]? 4 hands?? would he not 3-bet AK? obviously the guy is not that great given his preflop play. you could not pry my aces away from me in this hand. |

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
*grunch*
Why do you necessarily put him on a flush draw here? What 2 hearts would he call 2 bets with PF? AKs he 3 bets, AQs is impossible because the Q falls on the turn. That leaves AJ, AT, and KJ possibly (although that is not really tight). Plus, if he did have something like A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], why would he blast MP1 out of the pot basically nullifying his odds to a flush. This is an interesting hand if the opponent is really a TAA. Any hand that a true TAG would call 2 cold with UTG+1(bizarre in itself) would not typically be raised here except somthing like 99 which he want to protect and isolate you with. Everything else, he is 3-betting preflop most likely. I would of bet/called the turn. I he raised the turn, I would c/c the river. If he only calls the turn, I'm b/c the river to. |

Re: AA against a TA and a flushed board
If you're going to re-raise and fold to the cap I don't see why you can't just call down? It cost the same and you can't be bluffed out of the hand. My gut says call down(5-1 odds).
Does he raise the flop with a good flushdraw? I think he's got an over pair to the flop or AQ maybe. |
