Okay, so I know i shouldn't be betting but he was just checking and I was confused! Also he made it clear he didn't know how to play razz. I guess river call is bad..

Razz isn't my game and tournaments aren't my thing, but this looks OK until the river. On the river, he needs any 7, 6, 5, or 2 in the hole to beat you, and it is extremely likely that he has at least one, don't you think? He can hardly be value-betting a Nine. The chance of a bluff is nowhere near 17% or whatever.

Muck 7th is right. His hole card were JJ. I kept asking myself "why doesn't he bet with the better board?". He started with three cards to a J high. I guess it's possible he could have had J2 and FT shuffled the cards, but my impression from his play was that he had at least one brick in the whole, likely two.

I shouldn't complain about his mistakes. he also would have made his hand no the sixth, but he didn't bet, which doesn't make sense either.

I don't want to seem results oriented, but I was going to disagree about mucking 7th. An 8 low is a pretty good hand and people often have less than what appears.
As for villain having AJ3 in the hole, he limped didn't he. A lot of people play limp/call, but I think he has to open raise of limp/fold on 3rd.
