Default NL50 Basic pre-flop question

2nd orbit at the table so no reads yet.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($49.40)
SB ($118.71)
BB ($23.60)
UTG ($48)
Hero ($49.95)
CO ($48.90)

Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG raises to $1, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, Button calls $4, SB calls $3.75, 1 fold, UTG folds.

What is a "standard" range for Button ? I rarely ever see people cold-calling a 3-bet. Is TT+, AQs+, AKo a good assumption for an unknown?

SB I guess has 22+ playing for set value ?

without reads its really hard to tell. i think that range is too tight- a lot of people call this with KJs+, any pair, ATo+, some suited connectors, basically they see pros on TV calling raises with marginal holdings because they have the button so these guys decide to do it.

You can't really say against unknowns:

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $2, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $6, 3 folds, UTG calls with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Your three betting a min raise, I really doubt buttons range is that much different then that of just calling a normal raise, as that is pretty much you have done. You really just "opened" the pot, albeit it over some idiot that min raised. So whatever you think he would call his button w/ normally vs your open I think would be really close to what his range is. Same for sb. I havent played on party in a while, but from what i have seen from other hands and suchc it looks softer then it ever was, so any two cards would be a good starting point for there ranges.

It could be as wide as any ace, any two high card, any pair, and any two suited cards somewhat close to each other.

A more common range is any pair, or A and a high card, or KQ,KJ.

Readless I'd give the button credit and say 99+, AK/AQ and maybe even something as tight as JJ+, AK. The SB could have anything and just be trying to see a flop multiway with a PP or even SCs.
