Was I being sketchy?
Situation:
I'm in a Montreal club on Sat. night, part of a model UN conference, and I'm flirting with a 18 year old freshman girl on my team named K. She's short, attractive, and Aussie. I'm 22, a junior, and older than most of the others since I left college for 1.5 years to work. Since K says she doesn't have a lot of money to spend, I buy her two chick drinks in club. I also bought her two pina coladas hours before at dinner, for the same reasons. She seems to be having a good time, dancing with me and asking me to protect her from other guys who are hitting on her. At 2 AM, as the other girls are leaving to go back to the hotel, I ask if she wants to hang out more with me and some other friends at another club, and she agrees. I go off to find my friends in the crowded club. As I walk away I see some other girls talking to her near the door. By the time I get back in 5 minutes, they're all gone. I go back alone and dejected. The next morning, I bump into one of the other girls, and when I ask about what happened she says I was 'trying to get K drunk' in order to 'hook up with her when she's drunk'. They made her leave to prevent this. This is a fairly serious accusation, and I'm called sketchy by the other c ock-blocking girls for the remainder of the trip. When I meet up with girl K, she denies telling them I was trying to get her drunk, but now she's visibly cooler to my presence. I'm angry because all I wanted to do was buy her two drinks that she couldn't afford and get to know her better. While I would've hooked up with her also if things worked well, I certainly did NOT intend to get her drunk to do that. Also, I find nothing wrong with being 22 and flirting with an 18 year old freshman. Question: Was my buying her drinks and trying to bring her somewhere else 'sketchy', or not? |

Re: Was I being sketchy?
0% sketchy. Other girls are just bitches who are likely fat and jealous. Or you give off a creep vibe independant of your actions. Either way there isnt anything you can do about, so I wouldnt worry at all about it.

Were these other girls fat and/or ugly by any chance? [/ QUOTE ] Some of them were. The one who was talking to her was actually like a 7.0. But all of them were the type that goes to bed on time, never orders alcoholic drinks, and don't like it when guys dance too close to them. |

If she was a Japanese girl you wouldn't have had a problem.
