Default AA55ds missed flop

Comments please on this hand. Villain pretty aggro pre-flop normally.

Obviously I completely missed the flop, but I'm heads-up. As first to act, do I assume Villain doesn't have 2 pair / set and bet my Aces / make him pay to draw? Make a probe bet? Check/fold?

Seat 2: Rolfstep - $67.87
Seat 5: Hero - $11.40
Seat 6: Villain - $39.59
Seat 10: sabacalypse - $0 (away from table)
Moving Button to seat 6
Rolfstep posts small blind ($0.10)
Hero posts big blind ($0.20)
Shuffling Deck
Dealing Cards
Dealing [Ad 5d 5h Ah] to Bombjack
Villain raises to $0.70
Rolfstep folds
Hero raises to $2.20
Player [sabacalypse] rebuys $5
Villain calls $2.20
Dealing Flop [6c 9c 2s]
Hero bets $4.50
Villain raises to $18
Hero calls $9.20 (all-in)

bad reraise pre flop with given stack sizes. You are in a position where you have a good chance of making a mistake against an aggressive villain, either calling with a loser or folding a winner. I would likely bet out half the pot and make a tough decision if he raises.

This hand is so good I reraise it regardless of position or stack sizes or anything. I probably play the whole hand the same way, yes stack sizes are pretty awkward on the flop but you are probably ahead.

i like it... flop was probably about the worst possible for you though. bad luck. dont think u can fold to the reraise cause its not sure its a set and u are in good shape vs anything else.

Turned out he had a big draw with KK87ss in clubs, making him something like a 57-43 favourite... he hit the straight on the turn card.

I think I played it OK. AA hands are surely ones that you want to raise as much as possible pre-flop (hold'em player talking here) before you give people the chance the draw out. Having a short stack is an advantage because you don't give people such big implied odds on draws.

The chances of him holding such a big draw are pretty remote I'd have thought, but even if he did, I have to call once I've bet on the flop due to pot-odds, since I'm not that much of a dog.

No probe bet here... pot or nothing. And yes, I reraise with that hand.

fwiw I always (at least 99% of the time) make the last raise/reraise with any AA double suited no matter of position/stacks etc.
