Default 200NL | 99 reraised vs. TAG, standard?

Just sat down a couple of orbits ago. Busted the 50BB fish, and both SB and Button seem TAGish, so I was planning on leaving. Then this hand came up. On the flop I thought I might fold out JJ-KK. After that I just gave up.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (3 handed) internettexasholdem.com

SB ($570.25)
Hero ($292.55)
Button ($270.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $8</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $24</font>, Button calls $16.

Flop: ($49) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $34</font>, Button calls $34.

Turn: ($117) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $66</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $183

3-betting is starting to become huge spew for a lot of SSNL's...it is MUCH more common than it was even 3 months ago and they are being called lighter and ligher- esp vs TAGS that just want to outplay you postflop.

You think this RR is spew? 99 against a TAG opening on the Button is the nuts, no?

No, not spew..I just went on a drunken tangent...I think the immense # of 3-bets by some players is becomming spew

Why not bet a smaller amount on the flop like $25? I think it will accomplish the same as a $35 bet while losing less when you are called.

A smaller amount induces bluffs/floats way more.
