Default How would you describe the growth curve of an adsense site?

Assume one of those "find a niche and put adsense on it" site. We dont say its bad. Theres good info on it after all and people who visit gain something from it. So assume a "potentially good" site. You work hard on it and more and more info, subpages and gimmicks are put on. (I guess like every successfuly "home office" website started out)

How would you describe the growth curve?

linear?
exponential?

Just open paint and use for y-axis: "zero cents" to "homerun" and for x-axis "time" (obviously).

Also: would you think it makes a difference if its a mainstream-topic website? One of the highpaying keyword sites (moneymaking, lawyers, mortgage) ?

inverse tan. you work your ass off to start with almost no growth and then it grows on its own and then it tapers off after hitting some ceiling
