50nl Video of me playing aggressive....
Hi all,
After about 15k hands I'm roughly breakeven, so I'd like to try to plug some leaks. I've made a video of myself 4-tabling 50nl at full tilt, and would like some feedback. There's no audio, but I have notepad open for the 2nd half of the vid where I ask some questions about hands. Also note that my play in this session is a little more aggressive than normal, as I've adjusted my preflop play based on some conversations w/ SSNL players. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H537GB8J Video is about 45min, 320mb. (you have to enter a captcha at the top to get the file) Let me know what you think -Z |

It's too big of a video. Break it up.

2nd post tells how to compress your video. Please do that |

Re: 50nl Video of me playing aggressive....
The video is already compressed in Divx format.
It's probably a bit big because it's so long (45min) and it's a full 1600x1200. I'll break up this video later with virtualdub, but I'm at work right now. |

Ha, sorry, next time around I'll do audio. I didn't have a microphone handy when I did it.
Any comments on this video yet? |

Re: 50nl Video of me playing aggressive....
(around 3:00) Fold 74[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in CO after a limper. This is more marginal but raise and call are both probably more profitable. Fold 8T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to an EP minraise in the BB, this is just wrong.
(around 9:00) KQ8r flop when you have Q9, no reason to cbet here, you get more value by checking and betting the turn or calling a turn bet (around 11:00) You raise K5o in SB vs BB, dont do this. i would check PT to see if you are losing a lot in SB, this sort of thing would be why. Also in general you reraise with QQ+/AK only it seems, this is really bad because at 50nl guys will donk off their whole stack with TP, so there's no harm in taking a flop with QQ+, especially since everyone will fold to your 3bet, or just fold most flops. Once you see that people are willing to call light (this is how most 50nl will adapt), then start 3betting the power hands to get people to commit more chips preflop. The J7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hand I def call if limped to me in SB, the 78o hand obviously dont make a habit of always double barreling but on a board like that when a K or A turns, thats as good a time as any when you have no showdown value. Also prob don't raise 97o the next hand (or ever, really). The T6o hand, $12 is a fine raise size, leading is also fine. $15 seems excessive (not from pot odds pov, just in terms of getting a call from a marginal made hand). I'd rather lead $8 or so then lead river again. 77 hand you ask about is standard fold. AK hand, i dont bother cbetting flop. this is 50nl, its not going to be exploited and someone is calling. check the turn as played, call the turn as played. The AA reraise in the blinds seems high to me, but who knows. 68s is a very easy call, and even raising there is prob more profitable than folding. For example, when you raise A4s, thats exactly the wrong time to do it, you've already rr like 5 times at this table, non have gone to showdown. Do this first, then QQ later. Reraise more in the blinds against looser guys. I think that's about it. |
