30/60 Wynn Part II
Same table as previous post...
Limp, Limp, Tourist (women who is very-weak tight but sometimes makes the weirdest call downs) raises, I 3-bet on the button with 10-10. BB calls, both limpers call. Flop 2,3, 8 two spades. Check, Check, Check, Female tourist bets. I raise. BB fold, fold, one limper calls, Tourist calls. PROBLEM: from what I've seen so far from the female tourist, she could literally be taking this line with KK (fearful of my AA) or with a red A-J (no draw). She is playing very weird. I put the Limp caller on either a small set or a Q-J type flush draw. Turn is a great card for me, red 7. Limper checks, now the women donks into me. I'm so lost but think I need to raise her range of hands here. I raise. Limper folds, female tourist calls. River is a Jack. She checks, I check (whoops). She turns over 99. I scoop a monster. |

Re: 30/60 Wynn Part II
PS... if at anytime the limper who saw the turn check-raise both of us... this is an easy fold, right?
PPS... if the women 3 bets me on the turn... again, easy fold right? |

[/ QUOTE ] yes to both of these, and I think you played this hand fine. I actually think you might be a bit of a dog when she bets into you on the turn, but the raise is good to charge the limper. |

I think you might as well follow through if checked to on river. If she spiked a J she spiked a J, but she will never cr it so you only lose a bet. I like the turn play only because she is "weird." When you say weak touristy type, that alone makes the turn a call, but I know the type you are talking about here and think a turn raise is correct. |

Re: 30/60 Wynn Part II
One question, B_B: why do you keep posting results?

Re: 30/60 Wynn Part II
you're definately a dog to her range if she is really weak-tight.... most don't raise 99 after 2 limpers... and most will limp with something like JJ....
i would have played it exactly the same... turn check is probably right.... i would have guessed JJ-KK.... |

One question, B_B: why do you keep posting results? [/ QUOTE ] Because it's been a long time since I posted about actual poker hands (I've been trolling around politics and OOT forums).... so I forgot that it was customary NOT to post results. |

Re: 30/60 Wynn Part II
My only thought is, as you acknowledge, this is a river value bet. If she is liable to call down a lot of weird A high hands, you should find a bet here.
I think the flop and turn raises are both necessary. |

Re: 30/60 Wynn Part II
I like it, including the river check. I think after the turn donk, you are likely behind, but since you'd have to call the river if you call the turn, you might as well charge the limper, take a free showdown, and get there for the same number of bets.
You said she makes some wierd calldowns, but you didn't mention any weird bouts of aggression - I think after the turn donk you have to put her on a made hand (and it's not A7s). I think that JJ or QQ is her most likely holding, so I like the river check. But maybe I'm weak-tight myself. |
