Re: Lost with fairly weak top pair
Raise the flop to $35. Dont play call down poker with a hand this vulnerable 3 way.
A thought I like to have in these situations is that if I get bet into an amount smaller than i think my hand is worth then I raise it. In this spot if I had been checked to I would have bet $19 so therefore the $10 lead doesn't cut it so I raise. Gives me control of the pot and might even allow me to not have to put anymore in if I dont want as raises scare people. |

Re: Lost with fairly weak top pair
Calling flop is gross. I know you don't want to build a big pot, but I think you have to shut out any draws first, and then worry about pot control second. If you think a big pot is unavoidable... you just might be better off folding the flop.
