Re: 50NL makes straight on paired board on the river
This looks like a missed flush draw to me, so we are probably not going to get much value if we raise. Therefore, I think a miniraise amountish will extract the most value.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't understand this... if it's a missed flush draw he won't call even a minraise, so any raise at all cannot be profitable. Unless I have a real good read I don't like raising here. There are few hands we beat that would call a raise. If villain had checked, I'd have checked behind. |

alot of Ax hands [/ QUOTE ] True, but if he has a lone A, I don't understand why he let the flush draw for free. I'd have led both flop and turn with a A, unless I happened to have A8 (or AT on the turn). |

I'd have led both flop and turn with a A, unless I happened to have A8 (or AT on the turn) [/ QUOTE ] i know, and it's clearly the correct play. However, alot of fishies see the 3 aces and are so afraid of not extracting enough from them that they slow play. |

I raise and fold to a push [/ QUOTE ] I'm not clear on this... if you think you have the best hand and it's good enough for a raise, why fold if he pushes? If you're not sure, why not just call? |
