Fold preflop.
Check behind on the river. As played, call his raise. |

I don't mind the call preflop, definitely check behind on the river.

Re: 11$t- A9s - flop TP facing river raise
I was thinking raise preflop. Hopefully isolate against the limper with what is probably the best hand right now with position. As played the BB could have anything but his CR on the river looks VERY suspicious. After your check on the turn you would think he would lead out with a bet you could call if he had anything. Smells like a bluff to me. Call.

Fold preflop. [/ QUOTE ] Explain. Seems to me that you are in a great spot. Cheap flop, on the button with a suited Ace. You play the hand slowly of course, but in the end, if I can see a limped flop with Ax suited in LP with small blinds, I'm going to. |

You have a healthy very deep stack. Why risking getting into trouble with a crap hand like A9s? Just fold and wait for the good stuff.

Re: 11$t- A9s - flop TP facing river raise
....again my question still stands. Risk / Reward if you flop a strong hand is huge as you are on the button. The call was all of about 1.5% of his stack. You ARE on the button so you can make a more intelligent decision as to what to do given the texture of the flop and the action that occurs.
"Get into trouble", to me, implies someone who over plays / can't fold Top Pair and I guess thats a decision every player has to make for themselves. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think if you're playing 1 table and you're paying lots of attention to every player, then calling here is fine.....if you're multi-tabling, I would just fold.....because I think you need really strong reads to be able to make money in the long run with a call here. |
