stars 2/4 headsup newhizzle vs iwanturmoney hand
whats the thought process here?
both players. whats the purpose of iwanturmoneys bet/call? whats the purpose of newhizzles raise? was he trying to say "hey i have kings, your queens or no good"? was iwanturmoney betting AJ AT or 45 on the turn? why didnt he just c/c the river if he thought his hand had enough value to call a raise? *** HOLE CARDS *** newhizzle: raises $200 to $400 iwanturmoney: calls $200 *** FLOP *** [2s 3c Kh] iwanturmoney: bets $200 newhizzle: raises $200 to $400 iwanturmoney: calls $200 *** TURN *** [2s 3c Kh] [Qs] iwanturmoney: bets $400 newhizzle: calls $400 *** RIVER *** [2s 3c Kh Qs] [5h] iwanturmoney: bets $400 newhizzle: raises $400 to $800 iwanturmoney: calls $400 *** SHOW DOWN *** newhizzle: shows [Js Jd] (a pair of Jacks) iwanturmoney: mucks hand newhizzle collected $3998 from pot |

Re: stars 2/4 headsup newhizzle vs iwanturmoney hand
whats the purpose of newhizzles raise?
- to get value from a showdown monkey was he trying to say "hey i have kings, your queens or no good"? - probably not was iwanturmoney betting AJ AT or 45 on the turn? - probably 54 or a pocket pair, maybe some pair with a flush draw, but i don't know the dude why didnt he just c/c the river if he thought his hand had enough value to call a raise? - sometimes its better to induce a bluff by betting than by checking. he might also be terrified of a free showdown play from a crappier pair. |
