Default \"Ripples In Water\" Stocks

I heard some guy talking the other night on TV (at a friend's house...I have given up TV for a year) about stocks that preform like ripples in water. What the person was talking about was stocks that go up and down all year long. Stocks for example that have lows at 6 and highs at 11 multiple times in a year. He said when you find a stock like this set your buy and sells on it at 6.50 and 10.50 so every time it does it you make $4 x #stocks you own.

Does anyone know what the hell he was talking about and can give an example stock that does this?

Here's another longer term example. Not as frequent, but in terms of percentages these are large moves.

I always used the term rolling stocks, as in they roll between support and resistance.

Of course there is no gaurantee that these stocks will continue to roll.

Based solely on the rolling pattern, you'd wait for it to fall over a bit more and then yes. Note that the slow moving stochastic (green and blue) is overbought. The fast moving stochastic (red and grey) has crossed down through the 80 line. MACD (blue histogram) is weak and has just crossed the zero line.

Looking at a shorter term chart:

We note that Money Stream (light pink) and TSV (dark pink and white) are in leading negative divergences. All of this points to weakness in the charts and an overbought condition.

And just one last short note on this chart:

You can see that the price is close to the resistance of the linear regression channel (these are more accurate than trend lines). This would indicate that a correction is likely, either to the mid channel or the support.

Note that this uptrend is far healthier than the previous uptrends, this one has had a few corrections. This would give us a little cause for concern if we were shorting.
