over only about 40 hands, villain is 15/7..so he's relatively tight..that's why I just called..should I be 3betting here every time instead?

how's my line?

I didn't have any specific reads on him..is there anything else to do here?..call the raise?..I decided to push because of all of the potential draws

Over 40 hands villains pf stats mean precisely nothing.

I don't mind a call here with position, and probably play this hand exactly the same way you did. Although 3betting pf certainly isnt a bad idea.

I agree with dodgybob-I normally 3-4bet PF with this hand regardless of stats. The rest of the hand looks fine. He 3bet check raised you, looks like AQ, especially with the weak flop bet.

what concered me was not so much that it is so likely that he has me beat...it's that I can't imagine many hands that c/r there that I DO beat...

for isntance..I can see him doing this with are AA,KK,QQ,maybe 44, JT,...

the only real hand that I can see him do that with that I beat is either..well AK for a tie.. AQ or a combo draw or draw and a pair..

like AJc or Axc or J9c or something..and even those, I am not so confident that he would c/r like that with these hands..

am I assuming too much of these people?..

Why not raise the flop, to protect your hand against a flushdraw or AQ drawing to another Q?

bah this hand sux cuz u dont kno how tight and how good villian is here. but ur thinkin of wut do i beat is spot on. as i looked at the hand i thought the exact same thing. u beat next to nothing. there is no way he is doin this with AJ.

if he is overly aggressive then this play is fine but i really think u r behind his range rather siginificantly here. the only thing is u have put so much money in the pot i prolly bight the bullet and make a crying call and hope he has AQ

but for the record i think a 3bet preflop is good here. 3 betting light is a good thing to impliment to ur game
