Job in Southern Cal after graduation?

Next year, I'll be graduating from college and and hope to move from the east coast to Southern California to work. As a marketing major with a good graduation transcript, is it realistic to consider finding a job out there for after graduation that pays good money, or am I better off staying on the east coast for a while and then transfer out there?
