ND/LSU
16-12 playing every bowl-game.
I'm going ND +8.5. I think ND is a little better than everyone wants to believe. Najdorf had a couple ideas that LSU doesn't look quite so strong after the performance of teams like AUB and TENN. And ND's loss to USC doesn't look so terrible anymore either. Very much concerned about the home-crowd factor for LSU. But I do think ND has a good chance to keep this close. Everyone is riding LSU's jock pretty much and I just don't agree. They beat Ole Miss by 3 and ARK by 5 at the end of the year. They barely beat TEN. Yeah, ARK and TEN are good teams. If LSU had defeated both by 25 points or something it would definitely catch my attention. But I'm thinking those wins aren't quite as strong in the all-mighty SEC as people want to make them out to be. ND battles. They arrive for this game feeling like they've gotten zippo respect. Weis comes up with a good game-plan and some smeaky plays. Their opponents were mostly crap, but they still beat most of them rather handily as you would expect a good team to do. Early-season they nipped GT and clobbered Penn St. Both aren't too shabby at all. They nipped UCLA which is pretty so-so. I'm definitely concerned because they looked pretty out-manned at USC and I suspect there will be similar match-up differences with LSU. But I'm guessing all the extra weeks help ND's chances to keep it close. |

Re: ND/LSU
Anyone have thoughts on first half under and/or game under?

Re: ND/LSU
I got ND +10 at Bodog a few days ago. With 10 extra points, I'll never bet against my Irish.
Edit: Also, with so much time for Weis to prepare the offense, ND will put points up. The game will be close, but in my most honest guess, I'd say LSU wins by 7. The ND Defense just has too much trouble getting the job done. |

But I've got to go with my instinct on this one. When I lose, especially when I got it really bass-ackwards from most of the sharps' logic, I try to make it a learning process and use it to re-evaluate my so-called handicapping process. |

Re: ND/LSU
The money is going to continue to come in on ND. They are a huge public team and they are getting more than a TD. Most squares with 0 knowledge on the game will always take ND in this situation.

Re: ND/LSU
How much you think the line will drop if the action gets massive on ND? Im thinking of waiting closer to game time to lay down money on LSU.

Re: ND/LSU
Micro a few counters. They did destroy Penn State but one thing I think happened at Penn was the maturation of Morelli at qb as the year progressed. They looked much different in Oct compared to the bowl game. Notre Dame did have some great games, but what about the M.S.U game? And getting massacred my U.S.C? (though U.S.C looked great vs Mich) I do agree that Weiss will have them believing and will have a great game plan. It's obvious I'm on the opposite side of the fence, but I agree that viewing the outcome of the game with the spread at (8 to 9) depends on how you squint..gl and I'll clap you on the back in Notre Dame covers
