Default Double Donkeyage - Live 40/80

Ocean's 11 40/80, very good game. I have a solid image. I've maximized some good hands and have showdown very solid, dragging some huge pots. It's a laughing/joking table. I have yet to murmur a word.

It's a full game but we have a walk-fest; currently 6-handed.

I raise Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG.

UTG+1 is an ok-playing, running extremely hot, overplayed AK earlier vs a semi-solid player and rivered an Ace, etc, and he 3-bets. I looked left to late as I was distracted by this hot, tall, Asian girl in the main game. I could have seen the raise coming and realize I need to take a walk.

Loose-passive old man in the CO calls 3-cold, Loose-passive Asian guy in the SB calls 2.5 cold, BB folds, I call.

4 to the flop for 12.8 SBs
9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB checks, I bet, UTG+1 raises, SB calls 2 cold, I call.

3 to the turn for 9.4BBs
Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, I bet...

Comments on every street appreciated.

Happy New Year!

I think the turn bet is great, but I'm not in love with the flop bet. Were you trying to just clean up outs or were you thinking it'd help you win the pot without improvement?

If it goes HU after my flop bet I'm sure it can improve my chances UI and if he raises it will clean up my outs, yes.

I like bet/3-betting or cr'ing the flop more but I love the turn bet.

Why not fold preflop and check/call the flop?

Turn bet is good. Flop bet is even better. Preflop... can't be too good but if you did it it probably wasn't too bad either.

BTW, not that you don't understand this, but one reason to bet the turn is that your hand looks so powerful. Actually, even better, your hand looks very powerful-or-a-draw, so he's set up to make a ton of FTOP mistakes.

Nice work.

a donk/call/donk line doesn't look powerful to these donkeys. that's why taking that line with a set rules.

I respect you all for your thousand of posts, and good comments i've seen on many threads.

But, QJo UTG is plain and simple a fold. Like 99% of the time. I think you're fooling yourself if you think you can get away playing those cards.

The flop seems like a check/call. I can see what you're saying though about cleaning up your outs. I think check/calling, and bet/calling are close and both ok. I can't see checkraising there at all as suggested by one poster.

Turn bet seems obvious.

Looks like the only one fooled is you. Read the original post again.
