Suited Aces in 6 max
How to play suited aces is one of the areas of my game where I'm a little lost. My usual strategy is to limp a suited ace if there has been two or more limpers before me (obviously this is read dependant - if they were both tight I may raise).
Where I'm really lost is what do to if there's been a raise before me, and some callers. In the hand below, is it correct for me to call the raise and play for flush/two pair/trip value? Have you got a rule for playing suited aces - something similar to the 5/10 rule for pocket pairs? Seat 1 : UTG+1 has $112.55 --63/16/2.3 after 285 hands Seat 2 : Hero has $46.93 Seat 3 : Button has $83.71 --55/11/2.2 after 206 hands Seat 4 : SB has $25.70 Seat 5 : BB has $30 Seat 6 : UTG has $23.25 --Unknown Blinds .25/.50 Hero is in CO 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG called $0.50 UTG+1 called $0.50 Hero called $0.50 Button called $0.50 and raised $2 SB folded. BB folded. UTG called $2 UTG+1 called $2 Hero ?? |

Re: Suited Aces in 6 max
Easy call hit some 3's. If you pick up a FD treat it like a set.

Re: Suited Aces in 6 max
The latest rule is 3/8 as per debitel (I really like the new one more). The 3/8 works for SC and Axs too, but I usually wan't bigger stack% with them than with pairs.
[ QUOTE ] (obviously this is read dependant - if they were both tight I may raise). [/ QUOTE ] Probably a bad idea, just call and hit your flush. Also, you should play somewhat cautiously if you flop trip A's because your kicker sucks. [ QUOTE ] If you pick up a FD treat it like a set. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's probably a better idea to get a combo-draw in order to treat it as a set. |
