Default 2nd pair facing overbet on the river

This is a hand from a $5/174 MTT on Ongame. Played it at my friends account because I suck.

Big blind is t20, 10 handed.

I have t1500
Villain has t1300

Preflop: I'm BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
2 folds, MP1 calls t20, 4 folds, Button calls t20, SB calls t10, I check.

Flop: (t80) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, I check(?), MP1 checks, Button checks

Turn: (t80) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, I bet t60, MP1 calls t60, Button calls t60, SB folds.

River: (t260) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
I check(?), MP1 bets t500, SB folds

I thought this looked suspiciously like a busted heart draw. What do you guys think? Do you think I should have played the other streets differently?

You have a hand on the flop, top pair with shiiit kicker. I tend to lead out for about the pot on the flop.

Often this wins, otherwise i tend to shut down into check fold mode.

Prob is, if button bets, u call, and you have no more info.

At least if you bet, any caller is showing MUCH more strength by calling your bet, than you did by making it!

I lead that flop. It's unlikely that you have the best hand, but you can potentially get rid of hands better than yours and if not, get a feeling if you're beat in this hand.

Otherwise, you're basically calling down in the dark.

I also bet the flop.

A case could be made for calling the river if you and MP1 checked and button bet, but his bet with button still to act dramatically reduces the number of times this is a bluff.
