what is the easiest way for an American to get a money market account in Euros?

You can buy the Euro ETF.

I don't have personal experience, but heard many good things about Everbank when I was looking into this. Check out 'World Currency Accounts' or something like that.

yeah, i know about the Euro ETF, but as far as I can tell, you are not getting interest, you are only owning Euros?
