Default ($320) Shortstack with AQ vs Bully\'s Raise

$320 MTT with ~700 players. I'm on button with AQ and 10bb, the CL raised to 3bb with maybe 80bb behind. I'd seen him raise with QJ EP, 94s MP and limp a couple times. There were about 110 players left, top 90 paid, i'm going for FT don't care much about making it just ITM.

I pushed. Would you?

Is this as simple as pokerstoving AQ vs my expected villain range and if its more than 50% bingo? 110 left with 90 paid seemed like a long way to go... not sure if there are better spots than this one coming?

Something tells me by the tone of your post that this didn't work out for you. If it didn't, don't worry about it. You need to jam here and hope for the best, knowing you are WAY ahead of his range.

Of course, he will still have a hand here sometimes, and then you just have to hope it's 77, 88 or AJ or something.

But pushing is automatic ... if you don't care about cashing.

Would someone that was trying to cash fold here? How close to the bubble does one need to be to fold this?

I think a better way to word my question is:

I think pushing AQ here is standard since i won't get too many opportunities to be this far ahead of someone's range.

How close to the money do i need to be to make folding this a reasonable option? We were 110 left, 90 paid. I kept my eye on the tourney, we were 30 minutes from money.

even if one left to money imho this is never a fold given this guys range and your soon to be short stack.
imho calling just lets this guys have a chance to get lucky; i dont have info for pot odds but you are probably pot committed or close if you call.
I'm not good enough to ever pass up these opportunities.

good luck

Brian
