Announcers sucking up to Coker
On practically every bowl-game I've watched this year the announcers feel compelled to talk about what a great guy Coker is.
From national-championship game to fired super-quickly. college-football is so tough, blah blah blah. they are practically straight-up saying he got hosed. I really don't know much about Coker except now i've heard about 25 different announcers say that he's really an "outstanding human-being. One of the best people you could ever hope to meet." Give me a break. It's not like the guy died. He'll probably land a job somewhere else if he wants one. Newsflash: Miami is looking kind of lousy. And he seemed to have kind of lsot control of that group too. His excuses following their brawl with FIU were really pathetic I thought. I'm really sick of all the Coker sucking-up. It only gets worse with the game tonight I assume. I'll be at a bar where maybe they'll have the game on TV but at least i won't have to hear the worst of it. But after whatever result tonight I'm sure all the announcers on the Jan 1 bowls will feel obliged to chime-in that he is such a wonderful guy, they would want him to marry their daughter, and they think there should be a "Larry Coker Award" for bestest human-being of the year...except that Larry Coker would win the award every year. |
