Default starting a team from scratch, how high would you have V Young ranked?

Suppose that every NFL team lost all of its players and a draft was held to spread out the players. Obviously at the top of your draft "cheat sheet" would be guys like Manning, Brady, Hutchinson, Bailey, Peppers, Tomlinson, Urlacher, etc. My question is where would you have Vince Young ranked? Keep in mind that age obviously matters a lot, and QB is obviously the most important position in football.

I know that I may be premature with this, but I'm a total VY believer. I would have him ranked in the top 10 and maybe even top 5. In fact the only players in the league that I would surely take over Vince Young right now are Brady and Manning. Am I crazy for thinking this?

Take a look at his last 5 games:

79/124(63.7%) for 898 yards, 6 TDs, 3 INTs as a passer.
298 yards and 3 TDs as a runner
5-0 record including 4 game winning drives late in the 4th quarter

And keep in mind that he has one of the worst WR corps in the league.

I messed up my vote. I thought it was a redraft of this year. Not sure gonna have to think about this some more.

I don't know where I would take him, but I think you're pretty crazy to take him in the top 5.

Edit: Second round maybe. So like 40's or so. You broke the poll down too much.

Going into this week he had a 53% completion percentage, 10 TD's and 10 INT's.

Yea, I'd probably take him in the top 5. HE CAN WIN BABY.

I think you broke up the poll too much. I'd probably only take him after my 3rd pick, so 90+. My first pick would probably be Urlacher, Peppers, Tomlinson, or a tackle.

Two disqualifiers:

1. I don't know much about football.
2. I don't know how to rate quarterbacks versus other players.

That said, here are the guys at QB who I think are better than VY (for a franchise):

Manning, Brady, Romo, Palmer, Roethlisberger, and Rivers.

There are a few QBs who are better now, and a couple of guys who are definitely right around VY on this list, but because of age and the "proven winner" thing, I put Vince right behind these guys.

Well I was thinking 53-60 but maybe 61-70 would be more accurate. Tough call.
Okay, seriously, probably between 6-10. I mean, rex grossman looked like god for the first 5 or 6 games. Let's see him play good for a full season first before we take him over more established guys. On the other hand, I can't really say much given that I haven't seen him play in the pros other than at the end of games where he always leads them to a win.

Doing a redraft I take QBs until around 15th then start with top LTs and CBs. I said 6-10 because I couldn't think of 10 QBs I'd rather have. Maybe it should be 11-15. If I had to pick a range I'd say 8-13.
