Default Insurance agents

I am thinking about opening an office that sells insurance (car, health etc) for large corporations such as State Farm and 21st Century.

Does anyone has any tips or experience they like to share?

Thanks.

PS. How long does it take to get an insurance agent lisence?

i got an insurance agent license with 2 weekends of class, then one test. that was for life & disability insurance. I think that property & whatever insurance was an extra 2 weekends and another test.

this was for washington state.

in Mass it was a long time (I sold property/casualty to biz)5 weeks of daily classes(Liberty Mutual schooled me)...the test is tough...states vary as to toughness to get a lisense

I sold work comp---liab--fire---biz auto

you absolutely need insurance for house and car....personality is rewarded(salesmanship)

if you want to make money try being a commodity broker(home study course)...after 2 years, working for a broker you can start your own little brokerage

a guy I worked with did that made 250k his first year(all phone sales and website advertising)

good luck
