Default NL25: Ah, the old limp/reraise...

BB ($27.10)
UTG ($12.80)
MP ($19.45)
CO ($51.05)
Button ($28.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $5.25</font>, Hero?

No reads on villain yet. I've been playing aggressively, punishing limpers and stealing blinds, although who knows if the other players even notice that sort of thing. Without set value to play for, what's your move in this spot?

I suppose if the opponent is tricky enough and you think there is a chance that he would notice your blind stealing and limper punishing is it so unlikely that he thinks you're making some kind of move without a real hand?

If you just call isn't villain probably going to get it all in on the flop anyhow? Why not put him to a decision here?

I'm an STT donk, which means I never fold QQ preflop, so naturally I pushed. This may or may not have been the right decision. Without a particular read -- that villain loves to sandbag, or that he's wildly aggressive, or that he's a nit -- I'm trying to figure out how I can best approach this situation. Depending on the player, I think this could be trash, a medium-strong hand, or teh nutz. So just grit my teeth and get it in?

A LRR from EP is usually huge, but how EP is MP?... when he already knows he'll be in position for the rest of the hand?...against an aggressive player? If he had done this from the CO I'd push it back in his face. I'm skeptical... so I'll take half the odds I need, call, looking for the Q, plus c/rai a low flop unless he orgasms all over it or checks behind.

Just a point, in STT's you are hardly ever playing for 100BB's at a time. Cash games, if fully funded, you are playing 100BB's. QQ is a foldable hand.

No way your pushing this preflop. You lose everything but KK and AA (assuming he is the type of player whose range is beyond this.) If you put his range beyond this, call. Flop will depend on if an A or K comes.

Not bothered to read the rest of the thread but in my book a limp/reraise always means AA/KK. Somebody is trying to make some cute play but it really puts their cards face up on the table.
