This ends a 24 year drought - the last time the team made the polls is 1983, back when George Raveling was the coach, and I believe Craig Ehlo was still there.

Words do not do justice to the hatred I feel for WSU. I root against them no matter who they play. It kills me to have to admit that they are NCAA tourney bound and I'll be stuck watching the Huskies play in the NIT. Too tough a conference for a young team plus Hawes going to the NBA next year and probably losing Pondexter early too mires us in mediocrity for a few more years. Imagine having Hawes and Pondexter on the same squad as Seniors--scary, and never gonna happen. Go Huskies!

No way. Without Jensen's total brainfart in the closing seconds against UConn, the Huskies had the Elite 8 in the bag. This years team has way more raw talent than last years, but they don't have a GOD like Brandon Roy to hold them together. Brockman may get there in two years, but Hawes and Pondexter will be riding the pine in the NBA by then and he won't have the supporting cast that Roy had to elevate the program to the next level. Hawes is showing flashes of brilliance as a freshman, as is Pondexter. Neither of them will complete 4 years at the UW. You put any team in the nation into the Pac 10 this year and they finish well out of first in the polls. What matters is how they do in the tourney, and being in the Pac-10 makes getting there a chore. We'll find out how important RPI is this year by counting the number of Pac 10 teams in the big dance. The Huskies are too young and their answer in the closing seconds of a game is a true freshman. Not a recipe for success in my book.

Hawes is a [censored] beast. I love watching him play. They're a young team, and they're learning. I think they'll be solid come the end of the year.

The biggest problem y'all have is that Dentmon is a retard, and Applebee might be a bigger one. However, they're both managable retards.
