Preflop/flop, standard. You can call turn if you think he'll pay you off if you hit river.

the issue with playing a draw oop is that often you won't get paid off when you hit, therefore reducing the value you get out of the hand. By leading the flop HU, you semi disguise your hand and increase the chances of getting paid. On the turn, you really don't have the odds to call, nh.

Generally can Hero lead a bit less on the flop? Say Hero makes it $1.50 on the flop. Villain will generally won't be raising $1.50 if he isn't raising $2.00, and he's folding $1.50 as often as he is folding $2.00. Correct?

So, making it somewhat less on the flop makes for a smaller turn pot that Hero then can c/c and get paid proportionally on a made flush on the river. When the pot is still small enough for Villain to shrug and call despite the flush showing.

Personally I call the turn because I think if you hit your flush, your hand is disguised well enough to get villian to pay up.

As to leading less on the flop. Against a good lag, when you cbet weak with a flush draw on board - you are potentially get raised with any two he holds, and he's certainly hanging on to second pair.

In short I don't think leading weak is sensible in this spot.

I like the flop lead CB, since its the same as if you held a stronger hand than you have. Will make your hand believable when you call the turn bet (I would), and lead strong on the river if you hit. And depending on the villan you might be able to lead the river on a missed flush. But if you hit your flush, I think he pays you off more than enough times here to make the turn call good.

Seems like this is one of the hands that you are hoping to hit with your 78 suited raise preflop, so you got to call this turn? If you dont, why are you playing 78 suited?

if he floats a lot this is a decent spot to double barrell, especially since your rarely on a draw and any triple barrell on a heart river is going to look more like a block.

The smarter he is the more I like check call turn. Your almost never on a draw here due to the K and jack being a heart. That basically means only AhQh is drawing, if your UTG range is tight.

I would call the turn, not sure his turn bet means any real strength. Preflop raise and cbet seem fine to me

I'd say you're right, $1.50 helps you control the pot more, sure. There are merits to both imo.
